Vancouver Island Executive Vacation House Rental. This well kept executive home is located on the waterfront of Lake Cowichan. Lake Cowichan is the second largest body of fresh water on Vancouver Island, BC at over 30 km in length and over 600 feet deep. The lake is located 20 minutes (31 kilometers) west of Duncan along Highway 18. The pristine blue waters and sun drenched beaches of Cowichan Lake offer water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, swimming, wind surfing and canoeing.

The North Sound is one of the most spectacular areas of the BVI. There are endless snorkelling spots. At Leverick Bay you can play tennis on the court, go scuba diving with Dive BVI, charter a boat, hire a dinghy or kayak to putt around the different bays or laze around and enjoy the atmosphere. Ring for the free water taxi and have windsurfing lessons at the Bitterend or have lunch at various island spots, Saba Rock or the Fat Virgin Cafe at Biras Creek, also reached by free water taxi, others on the island by car. You can easily hire a car to get around our island to see all the sights at Leon’s or Speedy’s. The convenient North Sound Express ferry stops here at Leverick Bay which takes you directly to Beef Island Airport, Tortola.

Old Mariner was harming cottage built in the 1940′s which has been completely renovated inside and out. The cottage has wider doorways and a huge shower which allow for those with special needs. Brand new appliances, bamboo flooring, private location, and nature galore.

The cottage sits low to the ground, so you don’t have to climb two flights of stairs each time you wish to enter or leave. Bring your kayak,canoe,boat and/or fishing pole. Public boat launch is one block away.

We LOVED the Old Mariner cottage! It’s a beautiful location, peaceful and very charming. My husband fished everyday and I sat on the screened porch and read all the magazines of Coastal Life and some books we brought with us. It’s very close to amazing beaches, most of which are dog friendly. It’s a great spot and we’d love to visit again!
